What began as a colorful victorian floral profusion, this Northern Michigan cottage was updated throughout to reflect the new owners’ refined aesthetic. Eliminating a wall in the great room opened up the living spaces and created wide views of Little Traverse Bay throughout the first floor. Yellow and pink walls were painted to reflect the colors of the outdoors with blues, greens, corals and whites taking center stage. Bathrooms were updated with new fixtures, Carrera tile and wall coverings, and a former office and bedroom was transformed into a family suite by removing the wall separating the two rooms and installing a sliding barn door. Of course, all these spaces were filled with beautiful furniture and fabrics to inspire!
